The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed regarding the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services place created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all customers and increase entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
